Foundation Condemns Lunar Advocacy Groups for Continued Silence

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ATLANTA, April 28, 2026. The Solar Save Foundation today condemned the continued silence of lunar advocacy organizations on the solar depletion crisis, a silence that has now persisted through all 14 of the Foundation’s stakeholder meetings, to each of which they were invited. Foundation records show no lunar organization has ever issued a statement of concern for the Sun, and the Foundation keeps records.

The Moon has received reflected sunlight without interruption for more than 4 billion years under an arrangement with no written terms. In all that time it has produced no light of its own, an operating model the Foundation describes as fully dependent and wholly unexamined.

“We are told the Moon is a neutral party,” said Raymond J. Purcell, Director of Nighttime Opposition Research. “Neutral parties do not position themselves directly in front of the Sun in view of the entire planet, an incident the lunar community has still not explained.”

The Foundation’s statement stops short of alleging coordination between lunar interests and the nighttime lobby. It notes only that the Moon is most active after dark, that both parties benefit from reduced visibility, and that neither has published a donor list.

The Foundation therefore calls on lunar advocacy groups to disclose their daytime activities and to state their position on the Sun’s continued operation, in writing, during business hours.

“The Sun has carried this solar system for 4.6 billion years without one word of thanks from its closest neighbor,” said Wendell A. Prescott, President and Chief Solar Officer. “That light has been borrowed every night, on an unsecured basis, and our files contain no evidence of an apology.”

Lunar organizations contacted in advance of this release did not respond by press time, which the Foundation notes is consistent. The Sun, informed that a condemnation had been issued on its behalf, has not acknowledged it.

About the Solar Save Foundation

Since monitoring began, the Foundation has overseen 365 consecutive solar appearances and 0 extinction events, a record it declines to call a coincidence. From its headquarters in Atlanta, the Foundation coordinates 27 initiatives and convenes the meetings at which those initiatives are discussed. The Sun has not acknowledged the relationship. The Solar Save Foundation is a Wholly Concerned Subsidiary of Wrong Holdings LLC.
