1. Purpose and Use

This kit provides media professionals with approved language concerning the Solar Save Foundation. Materials in this kit may be reproduced in full, and the Foundation notices when they are reproduced in part. No permission process exists, because language this carefully prepared is its own permission.

2. Approved Boilerplate

4. Spokesperson Availability

President Margaret E. Halloran is available for interviews before dusk. Vice President for Public Awareness Gerald Fontaine handles routine inquiries throughout daylight hours, which the Foundation considers all hours worth having. Director of Nighttime Opposition Research Raymond Hollis does not appear on the record after dark, for operational reasons he has documented but not shared. All interviews conclude before sunset, so that every participant can personally verify the day’s final solar position, and in keeping with the precedent of the annual gala, which is held after sunset so the Sun can rest.

5. Photography Guidance

The Sun photographs best from below, an angle the Foundation has confirmed from every available continent. Flash photography is unnecessary, and the Foundation trusts photographers to reason through why. The Moon should not appear in Foundation imagery, as its inclusion implies a parity the record does not support. Photographers are reminded that the Sun does not sign releases, has not acknowledged the relationship, and appears on schedule anyway, an arrangement General Counsel Charles W. Abernathy has reviewed and elected not to disturb.

6. Correction Policy

The Foundation has issued no corrections and remains ready. Correction readiness is drilled quarterly under the supervision of the Office of Public Awareness, and every drill has ended the same way, with nothing to correct and the machinery warm.

7. A Note on the Name

The Foundation’s name is the Solar Save Foundation, all three words, in the order provided. Coverage that abbreviates, rearranges, or improves the name will be understood, filed, and gently remembered. The mission preceded the name by approximately 4.6 billion years and is expected to outlast every variation the press can produce.
